Project: "IoT and IoRT in Education"

Mobility: "Domotics and robots"

A day as we like it: intelligent, interactive and inspiring

As part of our Erasmus+ mobility, we discovered in Cluj-Napoca how technology is transforming our everyday lives... While exploring the past and art from a new angle.

The highlights?

Cultural morning

Walk in the historic center: Pia Bala Unirii, Saint Michel Cathedral, Matthias Corvin's statue, and the climb to the Tailors Tower for a top view

Visiting the central building of Babe cro-Bolyai University, a place of knowledge where tradition and innovation meet

Art & Technology at MINA Museum

A complete immersion in the worlds of Monet and Leonard de Vinci, thanks to giant projections, 3D effects and sound.

A true demonstration of what immersive technology can do for education

Smart Street Exploration

A street like no other, equipped with sensors, connected streetlights, smart dumpsters and more...

→ A great concrete example of urban domotics and Internet of Things (IoT) in action

And of course, return to Zalău with stars in the eyes , ideas full of head, and a reinforced motivation to imagine the homes and schools of the future

This day is part of our Erasmus+ project

"IoT and IoRT in Education"

Innovation, robotics and discovery at Oradea - an unforgettable day for our students!

Oradea | 13 mai 2025

As part of the Erasmus+ project "IoT and IoRT in Education" - Student exchange mobility

Our students had an intense educational day combining digital and robotics learning with exploring a city rich in history.

At the Faculty of Management and Technology Engineering - University of Oradea, students participated in a robotics workshop led by specialized university professors. During this workshop, students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about cutting-edge technologies in the industry. Here's what they've learned:

Digital Design with Solid Edge - How to create 3D models for technical parts using Solid Edge software, widely used in the industry.

3D Modelling and Printing - After designing the parts, students turned them into reality using 3D printers, learning how this innovative process works.

Working with precision microscopes - They explored electronic components at a microscopic level, understanding the details that make the difference in cutting-edge technologies.

Industrial Robots in Action - Students had the opportunity to see industrial robots in action, including how they are being used in production lines to improve efficiency and precision. They observed how 2-axis Cartesian robots are programmed to make precise and complex movements in a real industrial process.

Motherboards and electronic components - Students studied how the different components are interconnected to build a powerful digital system.

Exploring Oradea in the afternoon provided an opportunity to relax and learn more about the local culture. Among the places visited:

Oradea Fortress - An impressive fortification where students learned how history and technology blend harmoniously.

The Palais Vulturul Negru - A splendid example of Art Nouveau architecture, which served as inspiration for students.

The Church with the Moon - Known for its unique mechanism that allows you to observe the phases of the moon on the church clock. A real gem of baroque architecture in Oradea!

' Union Square and Historic Downtown – A bustling place where the city's history meets modernity.

Skills gained by students:

Skills in digital design and 3D modeling

Knowledge of Industrial Robotics and understanding how robots are used in production

Understanding IoT and IoRT applications

Teamwork skills, critical thinking and application of knowledge in real-world context

Knowledge of the cultural heritage of Oradea and how it is preserved

An extraordinary day where our students not only learned about the latest technological advances, but also discovered the past and present of the city of Oradea!
